TRACE Infrared Asphalt Restoration, LLC
Reasons to use Infrared
Cost Savings - TRACE Infrared represents and uses Equipment produced from KASI Infrared, which was successfully introduced in 1985 as an alternative to traditional street and parking lot repair methods. Since that time, Infrared repair has become an industry Standard for permanent repair of weather-related potholes, low areas that retain water and uneven joints which cause trip hazards.
Infrared varies from conventional pothole filling primarily in its use of existing asphalt and how it seals and creates a contiguous seamless bond. Existing asphalt is heated and used for level and fill, and fresh asphalt (held at temperature all day in unit re-claimer) is used to grade and complete the pothole repair. This is important as the finished repair on a conventional fill attempts to graft the hot asphalt to the existing cooler pavement creating a “cold seam” of sorts. Using Infrared, the temperature variance enables the thermal (monolithic) bond necessary to build a strong seal preventing water to re-enter the repair and cause premature failure.

Superior Quality - infrared repairs last on average up to 8x longer than conventional repairs. The value of infrared is in the thermal bond - water does not penetrate it.

Infrared can be address to fix trip hazards, paint spills, oil spots, pitching ADA areas, manholes, potholes, utility trench cuts, drainage-ponding issues, street bumps and bad seams.
